The Armistice in Cambridge 2017 Team
The Armistice in Cambridge commemorative event requires a lot of forward planning, fund raising, organising the many and varying groups of participants and a lot of plain hard work from a small group of volunteers from Cambridge and around the Waikato, who bring it all together each year.

Paul is the Committe Chairman and has a background in marketing and tourism, and has a big hand in organising the Armistice in Cambridge event, and fundraising to make it possible. He also runs the Armistice in Cambridge Facebook page

Liz has been on the Armistice in Cambridge team since day one, and she runs the Karapiro site where the event is held, as well as the event management and promotion, and many other aspects of the weekend.

Alan Livingston, former Waipa District Mayor is the patron of Armistice in Cambridge in 2012, he also contributes on the planning committee.

Jon is a serving senior officer in the New Zealand Territorial Army and works as the key Armed Forces liaison for the event, as well as bringing many other skills to the team. He's also involved with the running of the Official Ceremony portion of the event at the Cambridge Cenotaph

Andy is a well known collector of military vehicles and has been with the event from the beginning, organising the many and varied military vehicles, tanks and armoured cars, etc, that attend every year. He also arranges the military vehicle parades in the town centre. Andy has his own Tauwhare Military Museum just outside of Cambridge, and also has a collection of military vehicles at the Classic Flyers Museum in Tauranga

Graham organises the militaria collectors swap meet that is seen each year - these days within the Don Rowland Centre building at Lake Karapiro- during the event

Gary resides in Te Awamutu and is the President of the Waikato Scale Model Club, which is an IPMS chapter. He organises the annual Military Model Competition that has now become a firm favourite part of the weekend's activities, and attracts modellers from all over New Zealand in what has become a big event on their calendar. He is also the founder and owner of the New Zealand modelling community website www.kiwimodeller.com

Leanne is the committee's minutes secretary and right hand person to Liz Stolwyk on the administrative side of the event.

Julie is a new face on the Armistice in Cambridge team. Julie is also on the Cambridge Autumn Festival Committee and a Cambridge Community Board member. Julie has a background in marketing and events and is looking forward to taking an active part in this year's event.

As an author and military historian Richard has long had an interest in Armistice in Cambridge. He designs all artwork and publicity material for promoting Armistice in Cambridge and contributes his wide knowledge of military heritage to the event
